Project Semicolon
Das Projekt unterstützt alle Menschen, die mit Depressionen, Selbstmordgedanken, Sucht und Selbstverletzung zu kämpfen haben. Es möchte mit den Vorurteilen brechen, die diese Krankheiten oft mit sich bringen. Dass ausgerechnet das Semikolon das passende Zeichen geworden ist, begründet das Projekt so: Ein Semikolon wird benutzt, wenn ein Autor einen Satz beenden könnte, sich aber entschieden hat es nicht zu tun. Der Autor bist Du und der Satz ist dein Leben.
YOUR STORY ISN’T OVER YET
Angefangen hat alles im April 2013, als die Project Semicolon-Gründerin Amy Bleuel sich ein Semikolon stechen ließ; im Gedenken an ihren Vater, der Selbstmord begangen hatte. Schnell verbreitete sich die Geschichte im Netz und das Projekt wurde gegründet, um viele Betroffene auf der ganzen Welt zu stärken.
